June 12-13，2009， the assessment team made up of 10 experts conducted on-field assessment to Dongyang City, Zhejiang Province on its application for China Arts and Crafts Specialized Area. After being reported by leaders from Dongyang City, the assessment team visited woodcarving enterprises and markets in Dongyang City. Through meeting and discussion, the assessment team agreed to recommend Dongyang City as “City of Chinese Woodcarving”.
